Why did we create this Blog and what is our DESTINY?

For the past several years school has increased fees exorbitantly without consulting parents and when parents raise questions school follows some tactics saying fees won't be increased next year.

       The Parents of TSA( The Schram Academy) received instructions regarding the fee payment for the academic year 2018-19 through the class teacher wide letter no. CIR/17-18 Dated March 26, 2018. To our shock, we noticed that Development fee was mentioned as Rs. 30,000/- and there was an exorbitant increase in term fee too. As per Rule 11. 3  of CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws - "The unaided schools should consult parents through parents representatives before revising the fees." But we have not been consulted and thus School has not followed any regulations instructed by the CBSE in Fees issue

     Along with other aggrieved parents we planned to meet principal on 28.03.2018 after getting a prior appointment through mail sent on 27.03.2018 to enquire about the Development fee and exorbitant increase in term fee. But principal on 28.03.2018 directed us to meet CFO since she was engaged in an urgent meeting and it is financial issues. But CFO told that Fee Determination Committee will fix only the term fee and the school management has the liberty to collect any amount for maintenance and others under the caption "Development Fee".

        We handed over a representation on that day to principal highlighting some important issues along with the fees issue.

Identified Issues:

Parents meeting the Principal regarding Fee Structure and Other Academic Queries

1.    Development fees Split up (We need to know what we are paying) for 30K. Split cost wise not just the type of fees included.

2.    Please don't’ force to buy Uniforms, Shoes etc (The Quality is too pathetic).

3.    Reason for increasing Fees Structure at every year at a steady pace.

4.    Playground - If we have lack of Space...At least rent a ground...Already we had few accidents at school

5.    Please bring back Concession for Siblings.

6.    Inter and Intra Competition for kids

7.    Proper Practical class for IT

8.    Regular teacher for singing, art, dance etc

9.    Teacher Qualification is worrying factor at a Primary level

10. No proper Communication is there being SMS or mail

11. Kids don’t finish their Class work ….It is been carried over to home.

12. Road Conditions to worse especially near the school

13. Need Qualified Teachers

14. Too many Teachers in a single Academic Year. In fact, we had 2-3 Years in a single year.

Feedback from School Management & Action Plans

1. Parents have decided not to pay fees until we receive a feedback from the principal( Mrs. Stella)

2.  Playground- we will soon look for alternative

3.  Road- we have spoken to the municipality but no action has been taken yet, we will keep pushing.

4. Development fee split and uniform quality- will get back after a discussion with management

5.  Issues on dance master, the singing master, the inter-school competition, primary teachers, discipline, language teachers, IT LAB, will be looked into and parents will see changes from next academic year

6.   Any issues please free to meet the principal immediately Mrs. Stella or Mr. Abraham so that the concerns are addressed immediately.
